Election

I have to laugh.  There was a time I was very bored watching & listening to political hype & talk radio too for that matter.  I spend most of last night following election results & much of today too.  And, I also enjoy listening to talk radio.  Sometimes, I feel so old....  After all, my parents & grandparents used to listen to talk radio & follow politics.  Then again, it is not so bad taking after them.  Dad won county board again.  He is very happy.  Looks like that means the golf outings will continue.  Republicans gained many seats overall yesterday & there is no final count on the IL Governor position yet.  I understand it is so close it could take up to 3 months to get all the votes counted.  Seems like there should be a quicker way.


On another note, the kids are all fighting colds.  They have not given up.  We have been attempting to get to bed a half hour early each night to ensure plenty of rest.  Hope it works.  And, of course, upped our JP+ intake.  This is the 2nd year we are going to go with no flu shots/mist, etc.  I struggle with the decision each year, but really do not want to put the live virus in any of our bodies if not mandatory.  Last year, we had great luck skipping the shots.  Hoping & praying for the same luck this time.


Today, the kids got their prizes from the skate-a-thon (a school fundraiser for TSP computer fund).  Each one brought home a diary & have spent most of the night recording answers to the questions inside & they are sure to remind me that I am not allowed to read it!
